1. Data We Collect and Why
The Android version of "Today, a note" processes the following, always with your explicit consent. • Photos: to attach photos to diary entries and save share cards. The app uses the Android system photo picker, so it never accesses your full photo library — only the photos you select are shared with the app. • Notification permission: to send writing reminders. If denied, only reminders are unavailable; the app works normally otherwise. Weather and mood metadata are chosen manually by you. No location data is collected.
2. Where Your Data Is Stored
All data (diary text, attached photos, metadata) is stored only in your device's internal storage. No user data is ever transmitted to any SB Corporation server, and the operator has no way to access your diaries or photos.
3. Backup and Sync
The Android version currently offers no cloud sync or backup. Your data exists only on your device, and deleting the app also deletes the data. If a backup feature is added, this policy will be updated and announced in the app.
4. Third-Party SDKs / Tracking
The Android version of "Today, a note" uses the following SDK to improve usability. • Amplitude (Amplitude, Inc.): de-identified usage statistics. Diary text and photos are never transmitted; only non-identifying data such as an anonymous device identifier, device language, and app usage behavior (e.g., whether a diary was saved) is collected. 5. Data Retention
Data is kept until you delete it yourself. No automatic deletion policy applies.
6. Your Rights
You can exercise the following rights. • Delete an individual entry: from the entry's detail screen in the app • Delete all data: uninstalling the app deletes all data • Access, rectification, deletion, objection (GDPR / CCPA): since all data lives only on your device, you can exercise these directly For further inquiries, contact support@sb-corporation.com.
7. Children's Privacy
"Today, a note" is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA). If we learn that a child under 13 has used the app, no external deletion is needed since entered data never leaves the device; we recommend that a guardian delete the app from the child's device.
